Tomorrow it will be all forgotten, so let me tell you now - today’s @yorkshiremarathon was my fastest marathon in over nine years, and my fifth fastest ever (out of twenty-nine). Take that, inexorable march of time!

D'ye know, something special happened after Beth's story appeared at the weekend - sister Faye added another £2,000 to her marathon fundraiser. Her total now stands at £15,090. I know, from 35 years experience working for charities, that's Pretty Damn Good!

I said, of course, I wouldn't do it again. However, last night I signed up for the Run for Fun #YorkshireMarathon in October 2024. If I could sneak in under five hours I would be a happy man.

Recovering from Covid (3 weeks ago) and today’s #YorkshireMarathon was too much, too soon. Nothing in my legs so ran off the course at 17km. Not how I wanted the day to go but time for some rest now and then get ready for the #AbuDhabiMarathon in December.
