Born #OnThisDay in 1888 was seismologist and geophysicist Inge Lehmann ForMemRS. Lehmann is known for her 1936 discovery that the Earth's core must have a solid inner core inside a molten outer core. Before this, scientists believed that the core was a single molten sphere. #WomenInSTEM
