We kicked off the #YoungUrbanForesterInternship last week, and the interns got straight to work caring for 99 #streettrees in Jackson Heights and Elmhurst! They also started the #CitizenPruner course and closed out the week exploring the beautiful #QueensBotanicalGarden.

It’s hot and #trees are stressed. On average, young #streettrees need 15-20 gal. of water per week, but any little bit helps so please water your neighborhood street trees. On Monday, we kick off the #YoungUrbanForesterInternship and we will be out #wateringtrees all week long!

We kicked off our #UrbanForesterFellowship this spring! Lolly and Hanna both attend CUNY and are committed to improving NYC’s urban environment. Last week they completed their #CitizenPruner training and are looking forward to leading this year's #YoungUrbanForesterinternship.
