RMW @penultimateRMW OMG so I hooked up with a guy last night who has abs and I was like 'fuck you have actual abs' and you know what he said to me? 'So do you, they're just under here' and he stroked my tummy adoringly and told me I was a big gorgeous boy. Reader, I felt gorgeous.

Antonio isn't a big fan of Christmas at first, and it shows. 😂 #yulebesorry
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, the singer croons over the speakers of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I can’t help but agree. Even back here in the kitchen, where everything is green parsley and reddish chard and even the open flame of the grill seems more cheery and less utilitarian. Coming November 2026 A book cover sits in the lower right-hand corner with two Chicanx men holding each other, the taller one behind the shorter one, wearing Christmas sweaters and smiling. The taller one has glasses, and both have light beards. Behind them, a Christmas tree with lights and a glittery star sits. The title is Yule Be Sorry: An M/M holiday romance. The author is me, London Price

I let out a deep sigh. “I needed to do well on that test, and I don’t think I did. There were way more questions about the disclaimers on the financial statement than I expected.” “So you’ll get what, a B? Relax, Sammo.” “But that’s the problem–I’m too relaxed. I’m not spending enough time studying.” Her throaty chuckle is laced with innuendo. “Why, what you doing instead?” “Not having sex,” I grumble in Spanish. “Not this week anyway.” “Oh?” She’s gone suddenly serious. “You guys break it off?” I massage my temple as I speak clearly and distinctly. I know it won’t help me be understood, because no one seems to believe me, but I’m gonna try. “We. can’t. break. up, because. we. are. not. together.” “Bullshit! You’re head over heels for this whitey, I can tell. You have no chill.” #fridayfling temple On the right side of the graphic is a book cover for Yule Be Sorry by London Price

“Does he cook you dinner?” “No. Why would he?” “Help you study?” I have the oddest impulse to hang up on her. “He offered to help with my monologue, but it hasn’t happened.” “Buy you gifts? Get you flowers? Anything?” “Antonio is a great guy, J. Seriously. He’s going through a lot.” “And that’s just your type, right?” “What does that mean?” “I just want to make sure you’re letting him love you back.”

Did someone say short king? That's Sammy. Big voice, big belly, big personality...small stature. 😎 And Antonio? Well, off stage, he'd like to fade into the background. You're gonna love these two. #netgalley 📚💙🌈📚🤓 #romancelandia #yulebesorry #noai www.netgalley.com/ca...
Five reasons to get Yule Be Sorry on NetGalley: 2. Look at this short king and his tall drink of water! Who doesn't love a lil size difference? A stick figured drawing of two men, one short and one tall. An arrow points to the shorter man which says "Sammy, short king," and another arrow which points to the taller man which says, "Antonio, tall drink of water or maybe something stronger if you're Sammy." Everything is written on a whiteboard without "A.i."

I catch Sammy's gaze across the table, and I can tell from the look in his eyes that it. is. on. I know he's good at poker; he played last year and lost right at the end. I've got a funny feeling he's back for more than money. This is about pride.

You know what's great about finishing my book four months before it comes out? I have time to make swag. Which book plate do you want, book buddies? There will also be a T-shirt if you reject the band poster as an option. 😅 #yulebesorry #christmasromance
Four book plate options: 1. A stylized band poster of a fake band called The Prophylactics 2. Title at the top, three singing geese down below. 3. Title at the top, one goose tied up in Christmas lights 4. Title at the top, one goose writing in a Santa hat. Two men embrace in front of a Christmas tree. The title is Yule Be Sorry and the author is London Price.

#fridayfling: disaster (vibes) I can barely carry a tune in Santa’s big red bag, but Antonio doesn’t seem to mind. I want him to sing with me. And worst of all, I actually am dreaming of a white Christmas, because I want to go to Nyssa. Antonio’s glancing over at me, then at the side door, and internally, I hold my breath, even as I sing the last line. “May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be–” The side door bangs open, and four people shuffle in, already talking to each other. And I don’t know whether I’m mad because they’re ruining my first date with Antonio or because they’re super late. Yule Be Sorry Now on NetGalley

I turn back to the mirror to check my appearance again: I picked a crimson dress shirt, because it’s Christmas-y, and it’ll hopefully help people not to mistake me for wait staff. Same with my gray slacks: the black was too much. I may or may not have pulled out clothes I haven’t worn in years for this…I’m a little surprised they still fit. I gave my hair a trim with the electric razor, I even shined my shoes. I look sharp. Then I notice that Sammy’s frowning at me in the mirror. “What?” “You took out some of your piercings.” “So? I always take them out for work.” He puts a hand on my lower back possessively. “But you’re not going to work. You’re going to a party.” With me is the unspoken part, but I feel it anyway. “You don’t need to do that for them. Just be yourself.” “What’s the difference? I take them out on stage.” Pulling on my elbow, he turns me until we’re face to face. “The difference is that this isn’t a performance. Not unless you make it one.” He’s watching me so earnestly, his dark gaze boring into mine, intense yet tender. “Got it?” Two dark haired Chicanx men wearing sweaters hold each other near a lit Christmas tree. Neither is looking at the camera. The text reads "Yule Be Sorry: A Low-Angst M/M Romance by London Price." That's me.

Ooh, this is a fun one! Sammy's AuDHD is really showing in this scene. Grab this on NetGalley now to see if Sammy can relax... (The second clip is just so you know there was consent for that excitable kiss, but you're welcome.) 😉🌈📚 #SundaySnips #YuleBeSorry
Now he’s towing me upstairs, and we’re at my door…and I suddenly remember the mess. “Wait, I—” Without warning, Antonio pulls me toward him and kisses me. I haven’t brushed my teeth yet, and I probably taste like slightly old milk. But if it’s putting him off, there’s no indication. He lets go of my hand to guide my back against the wall, just like I did to him a few days ago. Quick learner, this one. My brain tries to helpfully suggest a lot of other things he’d probably be great at if we tried them, and I mentally slam that door and lock it to try to keep things a little chill below the belt. But I’m gonna need Jack fucking Frost to do his thing if I have any chance of that happening. “Hi,” he whispers, pulling back to gaze into my eyes. “Hi,” I whisper back, sounding a little dazed, and I put my arms around his waist and pull him closer. He lets his forehead touch mine gently. “Was that okay? You said I was in charge.” “What, the kiss? Of course. Any time.” My face is going to start hurting if I keep smiling this big. “Pie time!” He’s bouncing in the door before I can stop him and qualify what he’s about to see, and I squeeze my eyes shut. I can hear that Antonio’s stopped just inside the apartment. “Can we turn on the fairy lights?” Well, he doesn’t sound horrified.

My friend Josh, who I know from my Knockout bingo days, does this rad night called Smithsfits. It really speaks to those of us who came of age in the late 80s/90s & were really into goth & punk. (& is very much "yay Smiths/fuck Morrissey"). If you're in the Bay, come! It might be the last one!
An instagram post with a picture of a Crimson Ghost from the account yulebesorry. On the picture it says: SMITHSFITS JOSH YULE OMAR PEREZ THE KNOCKOUT 12.30.23 FREE" The caption says:' I told myself never again, but it doesn't count unless you speak it aloud. SMITHSFITS is back. Omar and myself going slightly insane all nite as we dig through our teenage angsty records that are The Smiths, The Misfits, and all the juicy bits in between. 12/30/23 New Year's Eve, Eve. 9pm FREE all nite."

Sunday, November 26th He did drive me home, mostly because by the time we came up for air from my first make-out session, I discovered the bus had left ten minutes ago. Sammy kept grinning at me all the way there. And making me laugh. He likes it when I laugh, and it’s not hard, because he’s funny. In fact, he’s still doing it. Sammy: have you tried boysenberries tony: what is a boysenberry Sammy: Mmm, that settles it. You’ll have to come over for more pie. Sammy: in the name of science [find a dirty way to use pie during sex] tony: I know you’re making up that word. Sammy: you don’t believe me? He sends an almost-in-tears face. Sammy: that hurts, Antonio Sammy: also, suck it, boysenberries are real He sends me a link to the history of boysenberries, and I groan. Writing report: Heeey, we finally made it to Christmas morning! (Well, roommate Christmas, anyway.) And as usual, Sammy's feeling spicier than the cinnamon rolls... #yulebesorry
“I know. Hey, merry Christmas, everybody!” They whoop in response, and Drew surges forward toward the presents around the tree in the front window. Someone has put a cheerful fireplace video on the TV, but the music is coming from someone’s phone. “What song is this?” Sammy asks, curling up on the floor next to the couch. Colby picks up his phone and looks at the screen. “Christmastime (Oh Yeah) by the Barenaked Ladies. I think this is one of Chance’s.” “It is,” Evan says, sipping something from a mug, “and mine’s coming up next. Vince Guaraldi Trio for the win.” “They’re all quite picky about music, as you might imagine, so we came up with a group playlist.” I explain as I nudge him with my toe. “You can sit on the couch.” “There’s not room for everyone,” he says dismissively. “What did you pick?” “Pardon?” He’s staring up at me with those dark, sultry eyes, and the angle is giving me ideas. Really, body? You just got off. “Which songs did you add?” “Oh, I, uh…” Drew puts a green package with snowmen all over it into my hands, and I thank him. Sammy’s still watching me expectantly. Dang. “You didn’t add one, did you?” He’s smirking now, and I fiddle with the thin ribbon on the package instinctively. “Everyone has different tastes…” “I tell you what: I’ll sit on the sofa if you add a song to the playlist.” “Just one?” He nods slowly, still solely focused on me despite the hubbub around the room. “But it has to be one you really want. One you listened to as a kid. One that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even if it’s something you don’t think we’ll like.” A book cover with two Chicanx men holding each other, the taller one behind the shorter one, wearing Christmas sweaters and smiling. How to get Captain Hookup to admit his feelings? Just be genuine, apparently. #yulebesorry
tony: I have to go back to work now, sorry Sammy: no problem, it was nice to talk tony: it was nice tony: miss you I am starting to see why he avoided hookups; this man is terrible at being casual. But as someone who’s very happy to be with him, I can’t say I’m upset about it…which is not to say that I know how to respond to that. I can’t make a joke, which is my go-to when things get too real. Why does it have to be serious, though? We’re just temporary: we both know that. So…maybe I just…tell the truth? I don’t want to lead him on, but I wouldn’t be unhappy if we kept this thing going past its expiration date. But is that what he’s trying to say, or is he just being sweet? Oh, fuck it.
