5D’s we establish that the main cast have zero means of acquiring cards through normal means. Zexal is when characters start running decks that much more resemble real, constructed decks, and Arc-V the card game is more like a Magical Girl situation than an actual game.

ニコ生で最終怪見てたけどZEXAL観てるから「とどのつまり」って言う主人公面白すぎる
あと何回も見返すと考察が深まって爆散して最後なぜメチャ子があの路地から動けなくなってたのか、とか……たぶんメチャ子の内部では恐怖ちゃんの消失＝恐怖のピースごと吹き飛んでしまって、主人公と出会う前と出会った瞬間の交わる点から動けなくて記憶もなくて、だから「私のこと知ってる？」という問いになったんじゃないかな。服が変わってたのは見る人によって姿を変える怪異の類で、オカ研友人から噂聞いた時に主人公の中では成長した大人のメチャ子の想像をしたんじゃないかな。動けなかったメチャ子は振り返れた瞬間に全てを思い出したんだと思
