As the crypto scam at Barca's former sponsor ZKP unwinds, yesterday's auction price was $0.

This means:

1. Literally no one wanted to buy ZKP crypto *at any price*.

2. Fans who already bought tokens won't be able to sell them when trading begins - they have already lost every penny they invested.

TLDR: in a ZKP system, the age verification provider doesn't know what site you are accessing, and the site you're accessing doesn't get any info other than the provider's attestation that you are over 18

Lobby State Legislators to have the state set up ZKP servers for identity validation, and legislate rules banning any provider that isn't ZKP. Given the momentum at the moment for these types of laws, it may be the best we can do.

But looking at the Samoan business registry, there doesn't seem to be any company with that name. Have I made a mistake or is the company running ZXP a different one? Barca now trying to spin their separation from ZKP as a win because they did it 'without a financial penalty.' More likely, IMO, is ZKP were dropped when they failed to make the first contract payment and Barca realised they'd been had.

A week on from Barca quietly dropping its crypto partner, and then briefing it had done so without any financial loss, ZKP is still featuring Barca branding prominently.

Which means Barca got no money for the deal *and* will have to use expensive lawyers to clean things up. An economic masterstoke.

I reported a soundness vulnerability in the Bulletproofs ZKP chapter:

It erroneously claimed that `prove_commitments_log` guarantees `t_u = `, when that's in fact not the case.
