It reminded me of Zamir, the friend of Anthony Bourdain, who would turn to the camera and say something like, "there are no reservations here!"
I liked "The Odyssey," a lot but Nolan making actors deliver silly lines like "oh, our Age of Bronze is collapsing" just sends me. I almost expected Anne Hathaway to turn to the camera and go "ya'll got that, right?" before proceeding further.
