Tulsa's Oktoberfest is hoping to hold onto its crown as USA TODAY’s Best Oktoberfest in the country.

Stamford AFC have turned to former Manchester City and Portsmouth player Anthony Fenton as the man tasked with leading the club into a new era following Graham Drury’s departure. The Daniels moved quickly to appoint a successor after Drury ended his third spell at the Zeeco Stadium to take over at Matlock Town, bringing the curtain down on a decade of service across multiple stints with the club.

Stamford AFC have confirmed the signing of former Northampton Town striker Leon Lobjoit, adding a proven non-league goalscorer to Graham Drury’s squad ahead of the next phase of the Southern League Premier Division Central survival campaign. The Dannies announced the arrival on social media, welcoming the 31-year-old forward to Zeeco Stadium and highlighting a career record that includes more than 100 senior goals and multiple league titles. It is a statement addition for Stamford, with Lobjoit bringing a reputation as a consistent finisher at Step 3 and Step 4 level.

Two league fixtures involving our local non-league sides, along with a Lincolnshire derby friendly, took place last night, with mixed fortunes across the county. The standout league fixture came at Zeeco Stadium, where Harborough Town hosted Stamford AFC. With Harborough sitting nine points behind Spalding United but holding four games in hand, this was an important evening at both ends of the table. Stamford, rooted to the bottom and desperately in need of a change in momentum to avoid relegation, were unable to rise to the challenge. Harborough claimed a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory, with David Hamara scoring once in each half to secure all three points.
