PEOPLE: - Jim Belcher. Audio & Video Production for Zelda’s Adventure. QUOTE: Belcher: I remember that Nintendo had final approval rights over the product, and they did see and approve all the [CD-i] Zelda games, but I don't think they were ultimately that interested. I think they thought of CD-i as some little niche product that they could safely ignore.

PEOPLE: - Jason Bakutis. Models & Prosthetics for Zelda’s Adventure. QUOTE: "Q: In terms of the actual prop making, how did you go about constructing the Zelda’s Adventure props and miniature sets? Bakutis: Well, the creatures were all sculpted from plasticine clay, molded in ultracal, and cast using a combination of latex and polyfoam. I would put a simple aluminum wire armature in the mold so that the creature could be posed and animated. I then painted them, added fur, or teeth, and sometimes clothes."

PEOPLE: - Eiji Aonuma, age 42. Director or Producer of several Zelda titles. QUOTE: "EGM: Speaking of realistic Zelda, I don’t know if you'll recognize this. Aonuma: No...is that really Zelda? [Laughing] EGM: Yup. It’s from the CD-i game Zelda’s Adventure. Very realistic, though, don’t you think? [Everybody laughs] Aonuma: Whenever I think of a very photo-realistic Link—for example, if a live actor is going to do Link—I wonder if he can actually look cool. Link in that attire, especially with the green cap and all that—can anyone look cool in that? Or maybe everyone would look like Tingle? [Laughs] "

PEOPLE: - Jason Bakutis. Models & Prosthetics for Zelda’s Adventure. QUOTE: "Q: What sort of budget did the Zelda’s Adventure development team have to work with? Bakutis: We had, at the time, the biggest budget ever for a video game. At one point, the owners told me they were talking to this band ‘Echo & The Bunnymen’ about doing the soundtrack. I heard of them, but never heard them."

PEOPLE: - Jason Bakutis. Models & Prosthetics for Zelda’s Adventure. QUOTE: "Bakutis: I remember we had this big treadmill, and a mirror on the ceiling. The [Zelda’s Adventure] actors (including the girl who played Zelda) would walk on it, and the camera was aimed up at the mirror, so that the footage had that ‘top down’ quality that is associated with so many video games."
