music journalist zensounds 禅の音 recently interviewed me! BUT also check out his other articles covering a swath of underground music and vaporwave. it's brilliant stuff! and it sounds like he's hard at work documenting vaporwave history. it's worth checking out.

what a joy it was to spend time chatting with Stephan Kunze of Zensounds. We covered alot of ground but he summed it up as "punk, paganism and patriarchy". I like that.

It’s been gratifying to hear from old friends who reached out to say the conversation meant something to them.
As usual, I also put together a playlist featuring recordings from the genre and artists influenced by it.

I collaborated with zensounds creator Stephan Kunze on a long conversation about Krautrock—which he helpfully reframes as German avant-garde rock (1968–1977).
(He’s actually German.)
