Also, they imply a couple times that the special ability of Shizuna's Zeroth Form is that she can "duplicate" other abilities, but hers are lower power than the originals. In fact, the Zerofield fan translation of Daybreak 1 gave her version a different name, "Soul Unification", to indicate this.

It continued into the Calvard arc with Kuro 1 via its spreadsheet in April 2022. I used Google Lens for Kuro 2 and Kai at the time of those games' JP releases because Zerofield ceased to exist.

And it’s one of the games I played with the good old ZeroField overlay. Crazy times.

Yeah, for a good chunk of time the "English patch" was patchworked MTL.

Also I know they didn't do this one, but I kind of lost respect for Zerofield after they publicly told people to support the official releases while privately laughing about NISA employees possibly getting doxxed.

Yeah, that and them using the term "white supremecist". Kinda like to see it. I played the Zerofield TL too 2 years ago with the patch but I forgot what they put here.

I dunno, if it was the Zerofield group who did the Kuro fan TL that got C&D'd I'd believe you but that's definitely not something the Geofront group would've done (especially since they worked on official releases - heck, the aforementioned Daniel Scott Tijernia worked on CS4 as well!)

Been 2 years since I first played the game with the Zerofield TL and what can I say... this game still holds up so strongly for me 🥺

Big return to form for the series, amazing protag and main group, interesting story, setting, & side quests... its got it all 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I am caught up but the main reason I haven't played Kai is because I hear it's English patch is mostly a machine translation. So I'd rather just wait for a proper localization.

Also, while I felt like the Zerofield TL was great fit for Daybreak 1, I wasn't vibing with the DB2 translation patch.
