It is February, which means it is time for me to get my spring 2026 garden together.

This year’s garden will be smaller, as I’m studying for some certificates. But I’m excited to grow, experiment, learn, & eat!

All in all, I’ve learned a lot from my small spring 2025 garden. Aside from enjoying yummy homegrown treats, I connected with neighbors, & I taught my son how to hunt for grubs. 😋
The season isn’t quite over, but I don’t do much in high summer because the sun is too harsh here. #ZodiGardens

I think the tomatoes are done for this season. Production is slowing, & leaves are yellowing.
(Maybe too much rain lately? IDK.)

Strawberries were a dud this year, but I read that sometimes it takes a plant a couple of seasons to produce regularly. Also, BUGS. 😒

Sweet potatoes & carrots TBD.

Alright. Technically at work today. Gonna do a little bit then tidy up & make some lentils or black beans (I hate black-eyed peas), greens, & cornbread.

My lavender plant died, but my citronella is getting humongous.

I need to figure out what to do with the leaves to repel mosquitoes. The raw sap/oil is apparently an irritant. #ZodiGardens

Well, friends. With Thanksgiving approaching, I went ahead and harvested the sweet potatoes I’ve been growing these last few months. I started this grow bag with just ONE slip as an experiment.

Definitely have a lot to learn, but this was fun!
