#Bloomscrolling #Trollius #ColourADay #YellowThu From the start of June, Trollius 'New Moon'. A soft yellow blossom of an perennial that has survived several seasons in a Zone2b front yard.
A blossom of soft yellow petals against and almost black background. The individual petals are gathered in an upright circle around deeper yellow pistils. The petals appear to have a crepe paper texture and are ever so slightly round.

😢It's hard losing a perennial. Mine is supposed to grow to 2ft tall and 3ft wide. This summer it was 4 1/2ft tall and 5ft wide....😮. Fair amount of sunshine, bit heavy soil, organic fertilizer in the spring. In my zone2b yard it dies down to the soil and then sprouts all new shoots in the spring.
