Same thing with Power Rangers and Super Sentai. The only thing Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers shares with Zyuranger are suits, zords, some fight scenes, and maybe a plot element or two here and there. Outside of that, they are completely different shows.

I know you weren't talking to me, but if the Senshi were given access to the Morphing Grid, they would have Zords themed around Greco Roman mythology. Usagi would have an ox, Ami would have a two headed Serpent, Rei would have the Trojan Horse, Makoto would have an eagle, and Minako a dove.

The Chogokin is nice, but too damn expensive for a vast majority of fans.
Hasbro's ZAP Megazords' designs strayed too far from the originals with unnecessary embellishments.
And these Playmates Re-Ignition Zords are 95% identical to the originals. No attempts at engineering improvements.

2. Living machines/techno-organic beings that partner with a ranger.
3. Semi-sentient machines. When not being piloted, act much like the creature they're based on.

I like how the monsters in Power Rangers just politely stand by and wait for the Zords to not only finish transforming, but to sometimes wait for them to de-transform, then re-transform into another Megazord.

Now for the zords, I might liked them as toys. Really understood quite a bit watching this one guy putting them together. I thought the Yellow zord didn't do much but no.

Apparently she just literally knew nothing about Power Rangers and I explained the basic premise and I think I broke her brain with every sentence and especially when the Zords came into the picture.
