In QGIS I'd like to add scale to my PyQGIS image exporter. Similar to the Project -> Import/Export -> Export map to image where you can add the scale to the image as in the picture below. vLayer = QgsProject.instance().mapLayersByName("a_g")[0] sExtent=vLayer.extent() sOutputDpi= 300 sZoomScale = 2500 sQSize=QSize(10000, 10000) settings = QgsMapSettings() settings.setOutputSize(sQSize) settings.setExtent(sExtent) settings.outputDpi = sOutputDpi settings.scale = sZoomScale render = QgsMapRendererParallelJob(settings) def finished(): img = render.renderedImage() img.save(image_location, "png") render.finished.connect(finished) render.start() In the output I'd like to include the scale of the map as well. At the moment the image exporter exports the image scaleless (I think) and only takes note of the setExtent value. Does anyone know if it's possible to include scale in this script?

**Authors:** Antonio Acuaviva, Arturo Acuaviva, Pablo Acuaviva Given $A\in\operatorname{GL}(N,2)$ and an integer $K$, we ask whether $A$ can be implemented by at most $K$ CNOT gates on fixed labelled wires with all-to-all connectivity. We prove that this problem is NP-complete. From a finite simple graph $G=(V,E)$, we construct an upper-unitriangular matrix $A_G\in\operatorname{GL}(2|V|+|E|+1,2)$ satisfying $\ell_{\mathrm{CNOT}}(A_G)=2|V|+2|E|+τ(G)$, where $τ(G)$ is the minimum vertex-cover size. Each target matrix has $O(N)$ nonzero entries and row Hamming weight at most four. The lower bound unfolds an arbitrary CNOT circuit into an XOR directed acyclic graph and applies projection--contraction operations, allowing cancellation and unrestricted reuse of intermediate parities. For this family, the optimum is unchanged by any finite number of clean or borrowed ancillary wires that must be restored. A polynomial-time decoder further yields NP-hardness of approximation within every fixed additive constant and, through an L-reduction from Minimum Vertex Cover on cubic graphs, APX-hardness of the associated CNOT-circuit optimisation problem.

**Authors:** Joshua Steier Spielman-Srivastava spectral sparsification preserves Laplacian quadratic forms to within (1 +/- epsilon), but does not directly control the adjacency spectral radius lambda_1, which governs the NIMFA epidemic threshold and arises in spectral clustering. We prove |lambda_1(A_H) - lambda_1(A_G)| <= epsilon(2 Delta - lambda_1) deterministically, with a sharp epsilon*lambda_1 bound for reweighting sparsifiers via Perron-Frobenius monotonicity. Under effective-resistance sampling, Matrix Bernstein gives O(epsilon Delta / sqrt(c)) with high probability. Combining eigenvector delocalization with resolvent perturbation theory, we establish that for graphs with delocalized Perron eigenvectors and spectral gap = Omega(Delta), the distortion is O(epsilon Delta sqrt(log n) / sqrt(n)) + O(epsilon^2 Delta^2 / delta_gap), with corollaries for Erdos-Renyi graphs, regular expanders, and stochastic block models. Lower bounds establish tightness for regular graphs.
