Life's been hard, but it's June. Here's something with some of my OCs, Rajshri and Nurasua.

~When the twin moons hit your eye like two big pizza pies, that's amooorrreeee~

#ababbleart #ocs
A small square comic divided into three panels. It is drawn on a tan colour with a darker desaturated purple, some parts filled in an off white. Bits of the original sketch layer are faintly visible. Panel 1: A long horizontal panel centered at the top. Rajshri wears her usual uniform of a dark jacket and scarf, standing in the midst of cloth flags, with a forest outlined behind her. The flags are decorated with a vertical script and shapes that seem celestial in nature. In the right corner is a dark curve, suggesting a person beyond the flags. Panel 2: A smaller vertical panel just below the first. One hand starts to lift a flag as Rajshri walks forward to the person she glimpsed. Her face is in 3/4th profile, her eyes glancing in the reader's direction. She appears wary. Panel 3: This "panel" is the full square underneath the other panels. A glimpse between one flag and the one Rajshri lifts reveals a woman wearing a different manner of patterned clothing. Nurasua holds a lantern. A vague outline of a crowd fills the background behind her below the implied trees. Two moons amidst stars peek above the tree line, the larger one full while the smaller one is halfway; they shine down on her and two pillars standing beyond the flags. The pillars are carved with similar patterns to her clothing, along with the human aspects of the moons. Nurasua smiles, as if she has been waiting for Rajshri's appearance.

It's the day I sprouted and I've been hit by a respiratory debuff, so if you would like, tell me your Halmarut thoughts, hopes, and/or headcanons, including if you have Ancient versions. = w=;;;

(I did catch up to MSQ in February, but these sketches were drawn prior lol) #ababbleart
The classic meme of DW from Arthur looking at a sign on her brother's room's door, stating "That sign won't stop me, because I can't read!" It is usually changed to fit the poster's current admission of guilt before all the deities flitting through existence. The first panel of the meme shows "Dawntrail 7.4 Spoilers" on the sign and text in the bottom (your) right corner reads "(hasn't played past 7.0)". A screenshot of a row of the first three sketches of Halmarut's sundered form that I've drawn (there are more now). The first shows Halmarut standing alone, flowers clasped in her hands, lost in thought. The second will be a rough painting of her having a genial chat with Kestlona, my WoL, all under the watchful eye of Marquis Morbol, chaperone. The third is simply a chibi. I love how her dress echos the Ancients' robes, by the by.

The new starters are all super cute, but I'll post a sketch of my favourite's mega form for Pokemon Day. c:

Review of 2025, featuring my roughs. Mostly OCs and FFXIV, as has been the case for some years. The alt text includes specifics for each month.

Template by @/AHOB_009 on twitter. 🎶

#ababbleart
The background is a pastel green with a grid pattern. On it are two rows of six tall rectangles made to look like old tickets, with the month on the "tear-off" part. "Year End 2025" is centered at the top, with "(Thank you for your hard work this past year)" in smaller text below it. Centered underneath the art is "TEMPLATE DESIGNED BY @/AHOB_009." January - Nurasua as a snake deity and Rajshri, OCs February - My Azem with some fishies (?), FFXIV March - Lucky, Animal Crossing April - Lahabrea and the Phoinix, FFXIV May - Venat, FFXIV June - Daphne and the birds, a friend's FFXIV OC July - My Halmarut Ancient with some genomos pals, FFXIV August - Azem, FFXIV September - Ja-ril, OC October - Thumbnails for a comic about the Okimotos, OCs November - Halmarut enjoying lakeside greenery, FFXIV December - Gan-ril, OC

A little Halmarut decorating a tree. I hope your holidays treat you kindly as we head toward the new year. 🧡

(I realised I never posted the full art of my holiday card from last year! The best part was thinking up ornaments based on all the fungi and plant critters.)

#ababbleart #ffxiv
My holiday card design from last year. A little Ancient Halmarut walks along a light string holding a candy cane ornament. Behind them is a tree with red berries, decorated with ornaments and strings of lights. The ornaments include little button mushrooms, one based on the baby bun minion, chestnut korppokurs, candy canes, and a number of ball ornaments. The ball ornaments depict plants, including one based on an "ugly sweater" with gigantenders, a mandragora queen with a pink poinsettia, and another is a knitted mandragora. The light strings alternate between retro colour bulbs and wee cherry bombs. Happy Holidays 2024 is written towards the bottom left of the image.

My art for the newly unlocked stretch goals for @ff14untamedzine.bsky.social! The Sahagin are one of my favourite peoples in XIV, so I'm happy I had a chance to paint one for the zine.🐠

(Also was fun getting some use out of my watercolours for the gold. I love their sparkles. 😆)

#ababbleart #ffxiv
A promo image for Untamed 3's Triple Triad set. It features a Sahagin priest in the midst of summoning Leviathan. In the background and foreground, parts of Leviathan are visible, especially the dorsal spines. The Sahagin priest stands in the center, looking toward the ocean's surface. Bright blue lines swirl around the priest.

I love birds, so of course I'm still doodling Lonahali from my Untamed 3 comic. LOL

#ababbleart
FFXIV fanart in full colour. A chibi version of my Hanuhanu chara, Lonahali. She stands gripping a bound book, a few paper tabs bookmarking pages. She smiles down at the book. A small quetzal is perched on her head, also looking at whatever is on the page. There's a decorative framing element in the shape of a square behind them, and some bushes, flowers, and grass surround the two.

Take a peek into the daily wanderings of Lonahali, an amateur ornithologist whose collected work would become an international bestseller.

(love silly comic ideas that work out🎨)

More information and artist previews can be found at @ff14untamedzine.bsky.social!

#ababbleart #ffxiv
A cropped preview of a page from my comic in the Untamed 3 zine! The brown bar on the top of the image has the zine's title and icon. The bottom brown bar gives the zine's shop link, the preorder dates, and the zine's username on social media. The middle part of the image shows the preview. In one panel, a Hanuhanu, Lonahali, looks up from her journal to see a number of curious toco toquitos (toucans) peering back at her. The next panel shows some of the toco toquitos flying off. Lonahali continues her walk, but she looks over one shoulder as a red feather drifts down to her. A blank text box covers part of both panels. Untamed 3: A FFXIV Creature Zine's preorders run from September 9th to October 3rd.

One of my dailies of my Azem I still like.

#ababbleart #ffxiv
A purple monochrome sketch of my Azem. They sit sidesaddle on a kelpie in the lower third of the sketch. Their back is to the viewer, exposed by a loose robe. The water fades into the blankness of morning fog.

Hope you all get some chances to relax in the holiday bustle!

I've been helping my mom bake, it's been fun trying out new recipes. 🥰

A snippet of my holiday card this year. Happy Holidays 2024 is in the bottom left corner. Ornaments of a chesnukkur (chestnut korpokkur), a brown button mushroom with little peets, a candy cane, and a mandragora queen ball hang on a tree with red berries. Vintage and cherry bomb light strings add a warm glow to the image.

An old daily rough and the even older photo that inspired it.

I loved walking around all the places I visited with my grandmother when she was taking care of some family business in Corsica. T WT;

A sketch of my oc Rajshri walking through an old town. She looks at a small bird holding a message in its beak. A colour photo form Vescovato, Corse. It shows the winding path of stairs common to the area. Many of the old buildings are of stone construction.

Daily roughs (repost) - My brain wants to draw Venat two ways: bubbly mentor aunt and "You're past your sunder date" tax collector.

#ababbleart #ffxiv
A blue monochrome sketch of Venat. She looks to the side, waves overlapping her. Hands disintegrating into shards reach up from the bottom (your) left up to a larger hand in the upper right. A sketch of Venat. She walks upon a descending path of skulls, the sword held in her right hand starting to shatter. She looks upward, her own form becoming whispy with her approaching primalhood.

2021 -> 2024 Shadowpuppers

I don't do a lot of redraws, but I wanted a sticker. LOL

#ababbleart #ffxiv
A monochrome sketch showing the shadowpupper sitting with her tail wagging. She was excited to play fetch even if WoLs going through Eden Savage were not. A redraw of the shadowpupper sketch. The drawing is in greyscale on a pink background. She is still excited to play fetch with WoLs.

Dressed up my Azem and Halmarut for their annual pumpkin patch chat. 🎃

#ababbleart
A sketch of my headcanons for Azem and Halmarut from FFXIV chatting in a pumpkin patch. Halmarut is dressed up as a witch, while Azem is a revenant. Some of the pumpkins are carved to resemble Ancient friends.

Two daily roughs from Sept 2021 I'm still fond of.

(rip to all the neat headcanons for Hythlodaeus. We got a fun canon one, but I still miss seeing 'em. lol)

#ffxiv #ababbleart
A sketch of Hythlodaeus in the Aetherial Sea/Underworld. This was pre-Endwalker, so his appearance was based on my headcanon at the time. He holds a concept which is cracked open, both being washed away by the Sea. A sketch of Emet-Selch, garbed as an Ascian, walking through an interpretation of the Aetherial Sea/Underworld.
