In the AP Voter Poll, "government corruption" was cited more often than "cost of living" by voters as a crucial reason for their vote. People know our economy is filled with legalized scams that funnel wealth upwards. If Dems don't make a big show of attacking those things, voters will punish them.
Dems taking power in the states should seriously consider this because it breaks Republican power but also because people will like it! Buying a car sucks. Getting fleeced sucks. You want affordability? Joyfully pick a fight with every scam industry and be seen doing it
