Hands bound with plastic ties until the skin tears. Swelling ignored. Wounds left to rot. A doctor later says the hand was close to amputation.The way to the “clinic” is punishment itself: shackled, forced to walk on knees, dragged through corridors designed to break the body before treatment even begins.Inside, there is no doctor only cruelty in a white coat.Wounds are pressed, insults thrown, treatment rushed or denied. “Go,” is the diagnosis.Prisoners are taken by force, like cattle, with no right to refuse. In Ofer prison, guards climbed on my back inside the doctor’s room until a tooth broke. A metal ruler nearly struck my eye. This was called “medical care.”One prisoner with hemorrhoids was dragged and beaten in the clinic, leaving it bleeding while guards laughed:“That’s how we treated you.”When boils spread through the section, hands swelled seven times their size. No doctors came. No response.Only painkillers... and silence.A young man was beaten to death in a nearby section. His body was placed in a black bag outside our room at night while guards laughed and mocked the dead.This is why prisoners fear the clinic.Not because they reject treatment, but because inside Israeli prisons, the clinic is not a place of healing ...it is another checkpoint of humiliation, and another chapter in a long book of pain.
