I was living with AbusiveEx #1 at the time— we were woken by their ex husband calling to tell us about tower 1. We didn’t have a TV that could get channels, so we went over to Sears in the mall, where the news was on all the floor TVs, and that’s where we saw the plane hit tower 2. Very surreal day.

I voted blue because I have 2 younger sisters just becoming teens. I have 2 nephews in grade school. I have a hard working older sister who has been through an abusiveex that kept her hostage and druged up for a year where we couldn't find her. Those are who I voted to protect.

A relatively-empowered family member used #DARVO on me in a novel way today, so it took my #autistic self a few hours of gentle "reflection" before I realized they had (metaphorically) punched me in the same "button sequence" as my #abusiveEx used to always do, & that's when it crystallized for me.
