Course Maintenance & Aerification Special The Preserve at Turnbull Bay will be Aerating the Greens this week! Discounted Rates will by applied for the week starting today.  Starting Tues 7/7, we will be starting aerification of the greens. To keep making them better and lasting longer in the summer as well during the winter months! Driving Range will be closed again today as they finish putting up the last couple of nets.

Course Maintenance & Aerification Special The Preserve at Turnbull Bay will be Aerating the Greens this week and Spraying for Mole Crickets on Wednesday, April 29th The Course will be closed on Wed Morning (4/29) until 2 pm and the Range will open after 12 pm! Discounted Rates will by applied starting on April 27th Green will be Punched and a top-dress sand applied.

Golfers, We will be performing are late summer aerification of the greens starting Monday 25th. We will still be open for regular hours and have discounted the rates starting on Monday, Aug 25th thru the next week. We may also only have 9 holes open on Monday the 25th while we aerate. Summary/Objective The 2nd Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Assistant Superintendent and assists with the day-to-day oversight of the maintenance and agronomic practices of the Bully Pulpit Golf Course and adjacent grounds. Duties/Responsibilities Report golf course conditions to the Assistant Superintendent. Assist in all phases of golf course maintenance as directed, including mowing, aerification, verticutting, irrigation, fertilization, and pesticide application. Calibrate, operate, and document use of pesticide sprayers, fertilizers, and other chemical applications in alignment with the agronomic plan. Support the planning and execution of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual turf management schedules. Help oversee, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal grounds staff, ensuring proper task distribution, safe equipment operation, and adherence to procedures. Promote and enforce safety policies; assist with safety training, meetings, and documentation. Identify turfgrass diseases, weeds, and insects, and recommend appropriate treatment strategies. Assist with equipment maintenance and repair; help maintain inventory and accurate records. Contribute to developing short and long-range maintenance goals, budget preparation, and process improvements. Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall course operations. Supervisory Responsibilities – Trains seasonal golf course grounds staff. Assist with scheduling, organizing, and assigning projects to members of the seasonal golf course grounds team. Work Environment Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury or sickness may result if safety policies and practices are not properly followed. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Continuously in outdoor weather conditions including cold, heat and humidity for extended periods of time. Prolonged periods of standing and walking.  Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean and service machinery.  Repetitive use of hands, arms, and fingers.  Occasionally sitting, climbing, grasping, lifting, and carrying.  Must be able to visually inspect machines and equipment.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.  Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
