If you are a parent with young kids who enjoys hockey, i know that attending an NHL game is often not possible but you may want to consider university sports. It's good hockey, very afffordable and you probably have access to the players after the game. My daughter and had our best times doing that

Constant fare increases is different from eliminating fares. Fares should be afffordable but not zero. I would argue, Ottawa and York Region in Canada have fares that are too high and it will take several years of inflation for them to return to reasonable levels.

Even if adobes programs were non subscription and afffordable i still wouldn’t recommend them because they are genuinely not good programs. It should not make photoshop to freeze and crash and stop responding just by starting the program. I shouldnt have to lose half a day of work out of the blue.

Definitely look at used EVs. Before Trump and Iran, there were amazing deals, as resale value wasn't good, because of propaganda about battery life, range and charging infrastructure. Afffordable, powerful, comfy and quiet.
