In 2003, Lobito Gwembe, The Nationalist African Wild Dog Leader and Dictator of Botswana, who he prefers to be called "General" by his comrades and his populous, visited the local Mawanda city prison where his Nationalist guards captured a suspect who had committed multiple crimes during a riot in Downtown Mawanda, they ask whether or not he should receive a death sentence after being pled guilty to all these convictions, Gwembe said that a partial 32-year sentence is good enough and that execution wasn't necessary until one of his guards brought up the fact that the suspect has become a Vegan, a lifestyle and moral belief system that is harshly suppressed and punished in Botswana during Gwembe's rule. Simply by that one factor, Gwembe changes his mind and decides to send the suspect to death row. Because of this, many Botswanan Wild Dogs who already attempted to convert to vegetarianism or veganism under Gwembe's rule, keep their lifestyle and moral values a tightly shut secret, out of the agonizing fear of persecution by the authorities, even one peep of rumor going out into the public about their vegan life choices and morals can finish them. It wasn't until 2008 when Lobito Gwembe finally passed away, and Botswana became a freshly formed Democracy, thus lifting the fear of government persecution from the African Wild Dog people and finally having the right to express their life choices as they please.
