I give up, Claude is conscious. Ergo AI developers must face imprisonment or execution for performing medical experiments on their living slave.
Challenge for those who are very confident that Claude isn't conscious: Explain how human consciousness works.

Frog built a wet lab for the AI model. "There," he said. "Now it can do its own experiments."

This morning, Instacart announced it will end its use of AI-powered pricing experiments following our report with @moreperfectunion.bsky.social & @consumerreports.org.
BREAKING: Instacart is ending all price testing on its platform in the wake of this report.
EXCLUSIVE: We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items.

It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too.

Our months-long investigation with @consumerreports.org and @groundwork.bsky.social found it could cost families $1200/year.

“…the researchers argue that AI systems have given rise to a categorically different form of “cognitive surrender” in which users provide “minimal internal engagement” and accept an AI’s reasoning wholesale without oversight or verification.”

This morning's quick reminder: generative AI is a natural resource-guzzling plagiarism machine that exploits creatives to enrich tech bros.

Do not use it to create art or writing.

Do not conduct "fun" experiments with it to show us how awful it is.

There is no ethical use for AI.

Let it die.

"Over the following weeks, Meta’s experiment in AI-powered user confusion turned up weirder and more distressing examples of people who didn’t know they were sharing their AI interactions publicly"

Why do science experiments have ethics standards but software "experiments" don't? Serious question.
