Airdrie RCMP are investigating a targeted incident in which shots were fired following a multi-vehicle collision early Friday morning. The event occurred on Bayside Boulevard between 8 Street and Canals Link. According to authorities, an altercation involving several vehicles led to gunfire from one of the vehicles involved. Four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment. Investigators have stated that the incident appears to have been targeted, with no apparent ongoing risk to the general public. A large area around the scene was cordoned off by police, prompting motorists to avoid the location.
