I woke up this morning and found that my son had painted my nails with the acrylic paints I bought him for his Airfix bridge layer. My nails are now gunmetal and rust coloured. This'll be hard to explain down at the station.

Dry fitting, next up: painting the canopy frames. I’ll be using a paintbrush for that. Have to say, the Italeri canopy fits perfectly - something Airfix could learn from. Fortunately the Mustang P-51A has fewer canopy frames compared to a P-40-Warhawk.

The eight Leander-Class light cruisers built by Britain between 1933 and 1936 were designed primarily to protect trade routes. They prioritised speed and range over firepower and protection, but would prove to be surprisingly rugged ships. Leanders served with the RN, RAN and RNZN.

白状すると、
簡易ヒートプレスの技法を覚えてから今までキャノピー何個も作ってきた……のだけれど……
パーツ単体としてみると凄〜くキレイなパーツが出来上がるけど、一度としてピッタリ合った試しが無いんだよね💦　だからどんなに出来が悪くてもできるだけ素直にキットのクリアパーツを使用する。今回はそのクリアパーツが欠品だったんで仕方なく作ったのだ😆
