Bessie Coleman was a straight up badass. Moved from NE Texas to Chicago at 15. Wanted to fly but Blacks & women could not train. She raised money, learned French, & freaking moved to France for flight school. Moved back & flew at airshows. Wanted to start integrated flight school. She died flying.

There are regulations about such matters. Unless necessary for takeoff or landing, or specifically orchestrated for airshows, the minimum altitude is 1000 ft over populated areas.

That was the state of art technology in the late 30s and early 40s. The airshows around WNY get some beautiful old planes, primarily P-51s, B-25s a B-17 now then. I've never seen a Warhawk in person.

Unfathomable. I can think of vast numbers of Illinoisans who have cabins in WI, go camping, go to airshows, daytrip for some New Glarus, etc. Nobody has a cabin in IA! Nobody goes to IA for a week unless they have family there!

Then a flyby of the E6-B Mercury, a modified Boeing 707 which performs nuclear war command and control. Didn’t know these did airshows, and honestly considering the work it does, kinda’ weird, and kinda’ posturing to the extreme.
