I will say my trauma started before I can peg any aitistic traits, but that's only because I can't remember being an infant. And autists are also impacted more by trauma.
3 of my 4 kids are diagnosed autistic. My kids have autistic cousins. It's so genetic.

My son is on the Aitistic spec & has Tourettes. My son was diagnosed aged 7. He is now in his 30’s. His tourettes was bad as a child but has lessened as an adult. Schools didn’t want him. He’s an MSc in Physics. But still faces discrimination
