I had plans for all my non-Albicred or Albael ships for Rarepair Week, but it's really just turned into, oops! All Golbez! It's not terribly deep but I wanted to draw Golbez/Durante and poke at Wolbez (?) dynamic ever since EW patches. The time is now, apparently

A key trait of Albi’s relationships with both Thancred and Gaius is that they’re all rather closed off:
Albicred see behind each other’s masks well, but are not proficient in acting on those feelings
Albael aren’t on that level but are content in silence, or are willing to be blunt #albilore

If your Wol/OC has a romantic partner, do they have a connection where they just know how the other feels without needing to say a single word?
Example: One of them is sad and the other just looks them in the eyes and can tell and just hugs them and comforts them.

Not a main ship/it's complicated but Lahalbi just has a good ring to it. Same with Albikoto... her name fits with others nicely #albilore

My Albael and Albicred zines have both had layouts and titles for several years now, but I never have enough time to commit to them. I need to quit my job to focus on personal projects for a few months. I’d love to get them finished in 2026

🫂 A defining trait for Albicred is that they're awful about not communicating or acknowledging bad behaviours in each other, so those two don't call each other out much (see: ShB)... whereas Gaius and Albi are pretty quick to get fussy at each other. Less need to phrase things nicely, they're blunt

Albicred: Thancred will often sit on her desk, or gently be a nuisance/distracting in her vicinity. It annoys Albi, but she lets him get away with a lot of things she finds annoying. She doesn't say it out loud too often, but Thancred loves the way she says his name (the "th" is a little soft)

They're (both pairings) more often than not apart for long periods of time, and I'd say that's a meaningful part of their dynamics. An element of distance and yearning is a foundation for them. They send letters. As for mementos, Albicred have their rings, and Gaius has a lot of small knick-knacks —

I know I've focused a lot on my other WoLship over the last few years, for various reasons, and they both mean the world to me... but Albicred are the true unbeaten champions in my heart, y'know. They simply are the proof that love is real
