#sotd is on Highland theme. I lived in Scotland as an undergrad for 3 months. Ever since coming home 20 years ago I have felt a magnetic pull to go back. I can do that through scent. I am currently sitting on a hill above Gariloch again. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

From Alkemia website A upland ramble through a wild heath of blooming furze (gorse), bracken ferns, purple heather, yellow broom, woodsage, and silver birch. In Celtic mythology, gorse carries the bright spark of the sun throughout the year lighting up the heart and bringing strength to thrive in tough conditions while warding off negative energies and protecting from harm. Thy yellow blooms – oh, they to me Are gold and sunshine blent together – Moses Teggart 1908 From Alkemia website: artist's impression of upland forest scent with cliff faces, heather, and gorse in foreground, with rolling green hills in background
