(Nick)

My heart is heavy today with Janet's passing. But I also have happiness that she is reunited with her family, the Magnificent (or Mognificent) Seven at the Rainbow Allotments. Run free, dear Janet of the Fae. 🌈❤️

Thank you Betty and everyone else at The Allotments for sharing Janet and the rest of the OG’s of The Allotments. Their work will allow other kitties to have a safe haven to prosper in. I miss you too Janet but rest easy now you beautiful angel ❤️

Wyre Council has designated two allotments in Thornton-Cleveleys as contaminated land due to the presence of the forever chemical PFOA above recommended limits.

PFOA was classified as a carcinogen in 2023 by the World Health Organisation.

On a train with my mother, we passed some allotments with people working on them and I said, “Mummy, are those peasants?”

An incrediblely sad loss with the passing of Janet, who had 16 years of friendship and kindness at the Allotments. Really nice to her as a kitten, just starting out. 🌈

Apart from the obvious emotional interest in this case, this is one to watch carefully now, as there has never been a compulsory purchase of land for allotments in living memory as far as anyone involved in allotments nationally is aware, much digging around has been done and there is no prev case.

Aww a wee stunner Betty .You gave her 16 happy years and now she is with the others and her sister triangle at 🌈 allotments and she went peacefully.
Take time to look after yourselves it will be so strange without her there after such a long time .

Janet had a life well lived among friends at the Allotments, she will be missed greatly.

A community-led model of allotments works well but only with the right training, mentoring, ongoing support. That’s why we don’t focus on gimmicks. Instead our priority is getting the new community of gardeners up and running: confident, informed, ready to support one another.

Janet had a good long life at the allotments, living her life her way, surrounded by the wonderful caring folks of the allotments. RIP, Janet, your memory will be a blessing.

In cracking processes, early contraction commitments are global and large scale, then continues recursively on ever smaller scales. But suggestive of city layouts. Ring roads. Allotments.
