I’ve been spending my week processing one of my alpaca fleeces to prepare for spinning #alpaca #alpacafleece #spinningyarn

My view for this evening! 🧶 #AlpacaFleece

I played with the drum carder using some Mac fleece. I can't wait to have yarn from this.

Yesterday I was very lucky to be given 3 big bags of alpaca fleece. All unwashed, so today I washed the first of the fleeces, thankfully it was a lovely day

I almost forgot. I also got this huge pile of fleeces done and ready to send to the mill.
It only took me 2 years to get enough ready to make it worth someone's time.

The alpaca and his fleece: Mackenzie! He kisses my hand so nicely all the time, he's always been my gentleman. He's Sully's uncle, and has just as soft fleece, even tho it's a little shorter.
#alpacafleece

Sherman's fleece. I had two bags ready to wash from 23-24. Not as shiny as Sullivan, but the same color, softness, and a way tighter crimp. #alpacas #alpacafleece

BECKY SAYS HI
And i washed two fleeces today even though my ribs hurt, please clap

*The gray one was so water repellent it was like turtle wax*

Sirocco tried to kiss me with that dirty nose😂
Lacy Agate barn kitty demands scratches.
The dried washed Mac fleece i bagged up.
Very pink cirrus clouds.

Jason in the maternity pen with Gigi giving Citori some love as Ivy and Littlefoot watch; Littlefoot backlit and cushed, all the fleece i moved today--top half, and Valkyrie doing Val things. #alpacas #livestockguardians #alpacacria #alpacafleece

Gigi Paradox and several pictures of her yearling fleece growth. I'm very pleased with the texture of it. She's still an absolute sweetie too, still let's me hug her.
Bonus shot of Littlefoot looking smug after getting the coat off for the day.

Before the walk and while we were outside. Despite Littlefoot's health struggles, his fleece is still coming in very soft.

and i moved a mineral trough next to it. Maya observed everything as she does and gave moral support. 🥰

The alpaca and the fleece: Sullivan! He's Gigi's sire and an absolute sweetheart on his own. When he's haltered or caught, he noses up for kisses. He's on the small side but holds his own with the big boys.
He was boarding at my mentors farm.
