I have a theory about the Primarchs. It of course, rests on the idea that the emperor knew and planned for a potential heresy. That Alpharius is the way he is because Big E made Malc train him to be a paranoid, super planner type so *he* would fall to Tzeench instead of Magnus.

Also "Schrodinger's Alpharius". Nobody is Alpharius, but when a model is doing really good, he's Alpharius. If they die, that wasn't Alpharius.

It depends.
Shattered Legions (survivors of Isstvan) definitely have mixed marks. I even sprinkle in the odd member of a different Legion (a random Raven in a Salamanders squad for example - they all use Salamanders rules).
Alpha Legion. Same mark. Minimal individuality. They are Alpharius.
