This update gives you a comprehensive view of quota utilization across your workspaces. With Amazon CloudWatch usage metrics, you can create alarms to be notified when your Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces approach applied limits and visualize usage in CloudWatch dashboards. Usage metrics for Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus service limits are available at no additional cost and are always enabled. You can access Service Quotas and usage metrics in CloudWatch through the AWS console, AWS APIs, and CLI. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector, a fully-managed agentless collector for Prometheus metrics, adds support for cross-account ingestion. Starting today, you can agentlessly scrape metrics from Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service clusters in different accounts than your Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspace. While it was previously possible to apply AWS multi-account best practices for centralized observability with Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces, you had to use self-managed collection. This meant that you had to run, scale, and patch telemetry agents yourself to scrape metrics from Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service clusters in various accounts in order to ingest them into a central Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces in a different account. With this launch, you can now use the Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector to get rid of this heavy lifting and ingest metrics in a cross-account setup without having to self-run a collector. In addition, you can now also use the Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus collector to scrape metrics from for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service clusters to ingest them into Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspaces created with customer managed keys. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, a fully managed Prometheus-compatible monitoring service now supports anomaly detection. Anomaly detection applies machine-learning algorithms to continuously analyze time series and surfaces anomalies with minimal user intervention. You can use anomaly detection to isolate and troubleshoot unexpected changes in your metric behavior. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus Anomaly Detection currently supports Random Cut Forest (RCF), an unsupervised algorithm for detecting anomalous data points within a time series. Once you create and configure an anomaly detector in an Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspace, it will create four new time series to represent resulting anomalies and confidence values along with them. Based on the resulting time series, you can create dynamic alerting rules in the Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus Alert manager, to notify you when anomalies occur, and you can also visualize the resulting time series alongside the input time series either in self-managed Grafana or Amazon Managed Grafana dashboards. This feature is now available in all AWS regions where Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is https://docs.aws.amazon.com/prometheus/latest/userguide/what-is-Amazon-Managed-Service-Prometheus.html#AMP-supported-Regions. Today, AWS announced support for a new Apache Flink connector for Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus. The new connector, contributed by AWS for the Apache Flink open source project, adds Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus as a new destination for Apache Flink. You can now manage your Prometheus metrics data cardinality by pre-processing raw data with Apache Flink to build real-time observability with Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus and Grafana. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is a secure, serverless, scaleable, Prometheus-compatible monitoring service. You can use the same open-source Prometheus data model and query language that you use today to monitor the performance of your workloads without having to manage the underlying infrastructure. Apache Flink connectors are software components that move data into and out of an Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink application.
