They’re already done calling the midterms, so Kornacki is just describing the differences between the three Burbank AMCs:

Day 2: Film Noir that Made You a Noir Fan

It was definitely Laura. I saw it on AMC when they had a film noir week in the late nineties. It was the first time I had ever heard the term film noir and I was hooked.

"The nets trap fish by their gills, but their victims extend beyond the species being targeted. According to the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS), the remaining gillnet fishery catches thousands of threatened animals every year."
Australia plans to ban gillnets on the Great Barrier Reef after thousands of threatened animals were caught. Fishers want more time. But what about the barramundi the nets are meant to kill? Their lives barely enter the debate.
The Fish the Gillnet Ban Won't Save
A barramundi caught in a fishing net is a successful catch. A threatened animal caught in the same net is an environmental problem.

That like living on a fly-in reserve. Sadly up that remote there is literally no way to haul shit out, so its left behind.

I remember the garbage dump in one reserve was filled with 70s Detroit products. And a few of them were AMCs.

I know it's not, but it kind of looks like something Starsky & Hutch would drive.
I had to look it up. I was familiar with other AMCs (like the Gremlin), but not that model.

MUFAP publishes a daily NAV for ~550 Pakistani mutual funds and no API to read it with. So I built one: free, no key, a daily dataset, plus an MCP server so you can ask Claude "which AMCs beat the KSE-100 last year?"

It was so heavily advertised at my theater, I was expecting something good. When release date came: there's noon showings at only the AMCs and none of the other theaters! 😬 He got buried it.

The best film houses in the city darkened one at a time. Every year another one and then another. Waiting on line, freezing in winter, and perspiring in summer was a communal experience. Films were masterworks. AMCs with green screen products just blare movies at audiences. I rarely go unless to LCF
October 29, 2026 at 5:53 AM
Yeah I definitely wanna see it myself , even the AMCs here don’t have it. Anything stop motion deserves my watch
October 28, 2026 at 5:39 PM
True. Maybe certain movies and times? The amcs I go to typically pretty good movie going behavior. Re smaller indie ones it varies. I don’t expect complete silence all the time but the phone thing is pretty distracting so it’s my biggest pet peeve.

Woolworths outperforms Coles in plastic reduction efforts, except for Ooshies
A national report by the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) has revealed significant differences in plastic waste reduction between Australia's two largest supermarkets, Woolworths and Coles. The study, based on 80 test orders nationwide, found that 95% of Coles deliveries contained at least one plastic produce bag compared to just 8% for Woolworths. Additionally, 73% of Coles' items were individually bagged versus only 0.3% for Woolworths. Woolworths has also been more transparent about plastic use in its home-brand product range, reporting a 'plastic intensity score' of 10 grams per unit sold, with plans to update this data annually. Coles, meanwhile, has committed to removing unnecessary plastic but continues to use plastic bags for loose produce and has revived Ooshies - small plastic toys given away at checkout - despite Coles having banned plastic toy giveaways since 2021. The report highlights that supermarkets should sell loose produce at the same price as packaged options, particularly during the cost of living crisis. Consumers like Emily Hamilton from Melbourne and Celeste Hankins from Sydney have shared their experiences with excessive plastic packaging, with Hamilton noting that Coles 'just so bad – everything comes in plastic bags' while Hankins feels 'honestly very guilty' when buying packaged food. Both supermarkets have made sustainability commitments, with Woolworths focusing on reducing plastic in supply chains and Coles emphasizing food safety and convenience through packaging. The AMCS commended Coles for its stance against plastic toy giveaways but urged Woolworths to follow its lead in reducing plastic use. The report also noted that Aldi and Metcash, which do not offer home delivery, were not included in the plastic bag comparison but have made their own sustainability commitments.

You know, I was watching AMCs Interview with a Vampire and I suddenly thought to myself, if this was the early 2000s or 2010s, this would be Lestat teams up with New Orleans cop to stop crime and sometimes Lestat kills other vampires the Police Procedural.

I wonder if they are the same movies at all AMCs. I can’t wait to see Breeder. The trailer itself was disturbing.

netflix giving a random football militaryslop movie a full-fledged theatrical release w/AMCs and everything this weekend before coming to the service later is the first time i've started to believe they're finally committing to that release strategy for real

I was looking for showtimes today and it's only in 3 LA/OC area theaters this weekend. It was scheduled for several AMCs near me, but poof gone.

Saw "Christmas With The Kringles" tonight as part of AMCs "Screen Unseen".

God it was bad.

Horribly bad.

Please... DON'T GO!

Don't waste your money like I did!

I noticed the same thing across all AMCs in LA earlier this week: several locations had the movie in their rundown and just assigned it no showtimes for multiple days in a row. Haven’t seen that happen before. If HBO pulls it, a dem congress must act.

And now I’ve seen that director’s cut in a pristine restoration that is the launch title for a WB brand with a proud opening logo in a project that had to have been happening under Zaslav and is out in AMCs and Regals in Trump’s America,

Snuck out of work to see Wildwood because my local AMCs only have larger format screenings before 2pm. Too many other movies released this week I guess.

you'll never go to one of their 18 amcs ever again
