Yes! There is plenty of speech on Twitter and other social media that seems well outside of 1A protection. The right to free speech is NOT absolute. The court has made this clear in precedent. See constitution.findlaw.com/amendment1/d...

Yeah no. Obscenity is not protected. Neither is threatening speech, or speech that incites violence. Oh, and you can be sued for defamatory speech.

Were they? Once a civil suit is adjudicted, failure to pay comes eventually with criminal charges I believe.
