Among The Restless are closing in on their debut album Seasons, but they have one more song to send out into the world first. The Melbourne alt-rock outfit return with 6 Years Of Madness, a personal new single that digs into some difficult territory without sacrificing the band’s knack for a bloody big chorus. There is plenty of early-2000s Australian indie rock in its DNA, with jangling guitars, driving rhythms and soaring melodies pushed through the band’s more contemporary alt-pop instincts. Beneath that buoyancy sits something considerably more vulnerable, with the song drawing on personal struggles faced by Lachie Dunn.
