Mini road trip to pick up this Heathkit HERO-1 that needs repair/restoration. Comes from the family of a teacher who used it in class back in the early 80s. Lots of cleanup and diagnosis ahead. Also, bonus Androbot parts!

Currently a WIP, but I'm tinkering away with the look of the 78-card deck!
Card mockups of 2 of the Major Arcana and the card back. The Hanged Man is various versions of a cosmonaut repeating. The Moon card has a cosmonaut covering their face, part human part androbot. The card back has consentric rings mimicing a system and its orbiting planets. All cards are in part rendered in ASCII- as images made with letters and numbers.

Definitely did not see Spacewar at the University of Utah.

With all the discussion of robots and AI in recent weeks, it reminds me of the optimistic future that was promised in the 80s. Back then, Disney channel had these short segments called "Imagine." A look into the future. Plus...its such a chill vibe to watch.

I feel like I'm damning everything with faint praise tonight, but again, there's something here. Visually evocative, Lem is a great writer, but it is really slow paced and functionally it just feels like I'm hitting A to advance text, we're just constantly changing which key is A. It might pick up?
