Today in music: And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda by The Pogues from the 1985 album Rum Sodomy and the Lash. Released 40 years ago tomorrow, it was the band’s second studio album. #Music #Andthebandplayedwaltzingmatilda #ThePogues #Rumsodomyandthelash #rock #rocknroll #punk #celticpunk #1980s

Enjoyable run with Joy Division, The Undertones, The Moody Blues, The The, and The Pogues. Eric Bogle wrote some damned fine songs. #andthebandplayedwaltzingmatilda #lovesaltburn #loverunning #stopthewar
