As a class, care and fairness tend to be strongly appealing to more educated individuals. The other "receptors" often appeal to those in less advantaged communities. This explains the knee jerk antielitism amongst many voters that clearly elitist Trump appeals to. He speaks more like them...

The people march and fight. Those granted power are silent or underwhelming in the face of whats happening. So it is indeed elites that are the issue, and I am no follower of antielitism persay, but ya gotta call out the issue.

so that quote is a paraphrase of Jan-Werner Müller's argument and comes after the writer says Trump is *not* a fascist, so, no, it's not what we're calling fascism these days?

I also think it's too sanguine, Trump's plan for Jan. 6 *was* tanks in the streets.

I haven't watched the show. Back in the 80s Dennis King wrote a book about LaRouche and the populist tactics of his cult, particularly in how is used antielitism as a rallying cry.

That's the through line to populists like Rogan, for me, portraying as friend to the little man:
