This is literally antiscience crap.
It is a big thing. Energy drinks are one of the causes of the rise in ADHD, in my view. High caffeine leads to mood swings, irrational behaviour and lack of sleep. And lack of sleep can cause all kinds of issues, from depression to physical issues.

“Antiscience has gone beyond U.S. borders to Europe, Australia, and Africa. Defeating it will require unprecedented commitment and international cooperation, not only between scientific organizations, but also their host governments.”

This is the sort of antiscience ideology that so pervades today's "right'. It's a big part of why @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social & I wrote #ScienceUnderSiege

Antiscience Is an Existential Threat

Steadily worsening climate crisis, increasingly deadly pandemics, and an unprecedented weaponization of antiscience that renders us helpless in our collective efforts to address any of the great challenges we face.

Like a dung beetle’s ball rolling down a hill, the reflecting pool keeps picking up more layers. Incompetence, antiscience, corrupt
contracting, and now now the self-protective police state and sabotage conspiracy theories.
i think the reflecting pool has gone from “haha what a dumb ass” to “appointing a horse to the senate” level of story here

I don’t know how they can put “common cold” and “SEVERE acute respiratory coronavirus 2” in the same sentence. Their whole description is antiscience 🙁

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld once offered a stirring condemnation of Trump's "antiscience," "stupid," "deadly," and "destructive" linkage of autism to vaccines.

These days he's caping for the "open-minded" RFK Jr. against his purportedly “unglued” critics. www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/gre...
