I heard Little Joe was a cancer in the apehouse.

That whole mini-album is a masterpiece in faux-psych - the sleevenotes to the Apehouse reissue by Andy are fascinating, he knew exactly what sounds he wanted and how to get them - after all he'd been 'imagining' this record since 1967!!!

Just checked Apehouse and doesn't look like they're available any more but this is - it's a compilation of both including all the extra tracks so I'm assuming it would also contain the sleevenotes too

I can't fault XTC, Apehouse, or King Crimson, DGM with CD/BluRay reissues with demos, extras, instrumental mixes in Stereo, Dolby Atmos/5.1 all packed into the BluRay disc for £20. As for multiple disc boxes, CD scores over Vinyl, but in honesty who's going to listen to it all again?

My last listens have been working my way through the BluRay from ApeHouse of XTC's Big Express. With 2023 mixes, original mixes, demos etc it has given me a new appreciation of an album I liked but never fully loved, you can see what AP was aiming for, especially the instrumental mix

(Ah no worries, just wondering if I'd missed a trick)

Did you buy the ApeHouse CD/Book reissues of the Dukes albums as the sleevenotes by Andy are great - fascinating insight into the recording
