#appcache
Provided that you have the game on your Steam their logos/icons etc. would just be stored here:

Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\librarycache

When you open it, it should look like this:

Pro streaming tip for #vtubers , If you go to *:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\librarycache on your PC, you can find transparent logos and other images for games you have installed on Steam. * is your drive letter.

You can use steamdb to find the app ID and filter too.

Sooo my outlook completely died and none of the usual resurrection spells worked

aka:

🍃 clearing appcache
🍃 repair
🍃 uninstalling & reinstalling
🍃 taking off and putting back on the account

Sooo I decided to jump ship to thunderbird! And Oh god, no wonder outlook died 😂

(which btw in case you're curious, the folder path to delete that stuff is Steam\appcache\librarycache\5166840 as the 5166840 is the ID for the game on steam, deleting it might also help ease of mind for some folks.)

Hey Vtubers,

Reminder your steam saves all game logo's to your pc and they're transparent. Just search .png from that folder. I have it bookmarked to my start menu.

It seems to be organized with newest games (added to library) at the top.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\librarycache

Hey, Vtubers! Need a transparent Steam game logo? Check the App ID under Properties -> Updates by right-clicking the game in your library, then search the ID in Program Files (x86)/Steam/appcache/librarycache. You'll either find a folder or a group of files for that game, and the logo is there!

#VTuberManager Tip:

Need game logos for your thumbnails?

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\librarycache and then search for '.png' to get the logos for the games in your Steam library!

I preferred the declarative nature of AppCache manifests over the code heavy Service Workers. Now we have yet another feature that cannot be used without JS. 🤷

It took a lot longer than I'd have liked, but it is happening developer.chrome.com/blog/service.... But the goal was never just to recreate the problems of appcache.
Use the Service Worker Static Routing API to bypass the service worker for specific paths  |  Blog  |  Chrome for Developers
Find out how to use this new API, available from Chrome 123.

Strange.

appreciate the fact that something about Discord's desktop app keeps fucking up roughly every 2 years and I always have to do an uninstall/reinstall. at least this time I didn't have to wipe the appcache, but I never appreciate waking my computer up to a forever loading screen

I think there was a working solution that would lock content to block updates using the AppCache standard, but AppCache was replaced by service workers for a bunch of reasons including that it wasn't intended to support locking content and it was easy to do it unintentionally.

In case anybody needs to know, steamgriddb.com has the assets used for the steam library with clean backgrounds. It's the same you'd find in your "...\Steam\appcache\librarycache", but without having to install the game.
Some non-steam games are also there, with fan-made clean logos.

if the game you're making suddenly stops recognising the steam achievements you've set up and it makes no sense because you didn't change anything in that part of the project, try deleting the steam stats cache. this just fixed it for me💪
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\stats
