I know that every time I've posted about work I've been incredibly angry, but I'm genuinely trying to understand how to be a trusted advisor when I myself don't trust the technical direction.

In the past two years, we've selected NATS by Synadia, Aembit, and AppMesh. Two of them had to be reversed.

AppMesh Envoyのバージョンを上げたら今まで動いてた処理が突然死するのを調べてたんだけども、どうもlocalhost:9901/readyにヘルスチェックが通っても実際のproxyのlistenが準備できてない時間が数秒あるみたいで(バージョン上げたら変わったぽい)、調査に手間取ったけどtracerのログを上から見たら分かったのでtracerほんと便利(自画自賛)

Exactly, the orchestration is handled in a very different way. I'd assume QA would need to be handled by separate agents too... I played with AutoGen and it's much easier to configure then an AppMesh for micro services:)

The next AWS service deprecation is here. AWS AppMesh users are told to migrate to ECS Service Connect.

Deprecations are obviously a thing at AWS now, but at least this one is done and communicated right. Props to the team for making a difficult call.
