The oyster aquafarm was dropped in his lap to come back from the mideast, where he was a contractor for Blackwater (or whatever they're called now).

Covering an aquafarm with solar panels is going to cause a fuck ton of nutrient cycling problems and potential trophic-collapse. Also dubious about the parasite problems with all the substrate surfaces.

a number of headcanons went into this. there's already a pretty good amount of headcanoning going on in tbhbom (such as "aquafarm" referring to combined desalination+hydroponics, for example), but this plays around with a particular early-game npc as well as some painted plants we invented. enjoy!
