The reason I haven't gone for classical arcaheology is that I'd constantly eat the artifacts.

The afternoon started with Session 5, "Deposition, ancestry, and regional identity." We had three very stimulating presentations from Emma Buckingham, Tamas Czuppon Inga Utkina-Wöhrl.

Excellent work everybody!

we're having a MAL-o-ween art party on Wednesday Oct. 14th!

We'll be in the main lab from 3-5 with snacks, a collaborative zine, and plenty of spooky dusty tech to make art with - including a newly-fixed 1940s spirit duplicator!

My question would be 'Do the public actually know what arcaheology is?'. Other than 'finding old stuff', does the public really have knowledge or insight of what we do after 'finding old stuff'?

Damn right. Arcaheology - all off on digs/applying for grants. Oncology - patients, conferences, writing papers, research, recruitment to studies, on-call (my boss). Never stopped.

Maybe I should do a playthrough of FF VII again with the shinra arcaheology retranlsation mod.

I have done a playthrough with Beacause retranslation in the past, and while I liked some stuff there, it still made other scenes fall flatter than the original for me.

We'd hope by now that after the last 70 years research in theology, philology, arcaheology & history that the whole Christian myth would be consigned to the waste bin. It's one of the biggest contributors to humanity's current multiple crisis & we should now know this emphatically.
