Your regular reminder that, as the Internet's unofficial archivist of UK Gold transmissions, if you still have any old VHS tapes of Dr Who or any other programmes hanging around I'd be really interested to hear from you.
34 years ago today, a fledgling satellite channel co-owned by the BBC & Thames Television, began airing Doctor Who from the very beginning with An Unearthly Child. For the next 15 years, UK Gold became the permanent home of classic Doctor Who on UK television and brought many new fans to the series.

Rubio has been in a position to allow the destruction of all gov records required to be sent to the Natl Archives for 18mo.

Leaving aside the breathtaking security issues, my reading of the PRA is that the prompts and responses should be public records, irrespective of the platform he used (ie public/private accounts). Disappointing the Ombudsman and Chief Archivist aren't all over this
