#OTD 8 Sept AD70 #Roman forces led by Titus completed the capture of #Jerusalem after a 5-month siege - in the 1st Jewish-Roman War. The 2nd Temple was destroyed in Aug, but fighting continued until the city fell. Josephus gives a detailed account.
