Art should be funded like science. To properly fund art, you fund failure. Funding failure will give you occasional excellence. Creating any art with the aim of it being popular enough to make money, will give you consistent mediocrity. Arists need funding to play and fail because that's the process

I'm done with Deviantart. They let people steal content from other arists, let people post a lot of AI porn, and now this: Uraraka (with her timeskip hero suit) promo deleted by content violation...
I had other deletions with Yuffie content but this one really pissed me off.

Like, no, you are not owed access to people you are hurting. You cannot compel arists to play and dance for you. You do not have a right to anyone's performance for your comfort or entertainment.

Folks should know by now that even admired, skilled, passionate arists can and will turn to AI. If you buy into the misguided notion that "only bad artists use AI", you're leaving the door open for cognitive dissonance and self-doubt. Steel yourself for more disappointment.
