Well if you teach the children about monoecious trees the next thing you know they’ll be asking questions about dichogamous aroids, simply unacceptable

I can’t remember what else I got from her, but as per usual, the trend is clearly aroids. Listen, aroids of most kinds are just generally easy to care for, and they’re all so pretty and so different! I wouldn’t recommend alocasias or anthuriums to beginners, but most aroids are beginner friendly

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore my monstera albo, and I love all my various monsteras (of varying cultivars and species), but honestly, alocasias and anthuriums have surpassed monsteras as my favourite aroids. Also a big fan of scindapsus and pothos

Aroids can occupy the surface of still water. These aquatic aroids (Lemna minor [larger plants] and Wolffia sp. [smaller plants]) can cover the surface of ponds. Much of their reproduction is asexual. I wonder if these plants are all clones. #Araceae #TropicalBotany #aroids #Botany #PlantScience 🌾🧪

I’ve also had the best success with growing aroids out of every type of plant I’ve tried my hand at. Idk, aroids tend to like the conditions in my house!
