Around 3,300 years ago, a bronze sword, axes, arrowheads, and daggers were lost or, perhaps, ritually deposited in a small lake in central Italy. Archaeologists retrieving the Bronze Age sword observed that it’s still sharp!

Tonight is #HauntedRefrigeratorNight, a chance to throw away forgotten food that's gone a bit spooky 👻
These leftovers definitely qualify, dating back to the Bronze Age! Preserved in a burial cave, they are likely the remains of a funeral banquet.

SCP-070: Iron Wings

SCP-070's wings are too heavy to offer him much freedom.

They're made from jointed iron bars and chains tipped with barbed arrowheads. They emerge from a man's back, move independently, and can lash out or anchor themselves into nearby surfaces.

I know a young chap. He is quite smart and thoroughly disillusioned with The System. He tells me he thought about investing in crypto for a while, but decided he would be better off stockpiling hunting arrowheads, which he will need to trade for food by the time he is my age, because collapse.

This is too cool.

It is amazing that the meteor was so old and that it was used to create an arrowhead.

I would think it would have been difficult to create and also must have been far superior to other arrowheads of the day.

Thanks for sharing!

Rapidly melting glaciers in Norway are revealing thousands of ancient artifacts, including 6,000-year-old Stone Age arrowheads. While archaeologists are recovering these unique historical treasures, they warn that the ice is disappearing at a brutal rate.
The oldest ice disappears and the Stone Age emerges from it (144)
'We have been at the edge of the ice. We have seen it happening. And we are witnesses to a rapidly changing archaeological landscape,' write the glacial archaeologists. Finds from the Viking Age are becoming scarce, while 6,000-year-old arrowheads are now emerging from the melting ice.

She has already drawn the line.

Three things to read in a protection piece, shown in these silver hoops with wire-wrapped black stone arrowheads. The shape: an arrowhead marks a line drawn. The stone: black tourmaline and obsidian hold what she has shed. The metal: its finish suits the weight.
